Follow these steps to make vanilla cookies
Before starting with the preparation of these delicious easy vanilla cookies, the first thing you have to do is preheat the oven to 180 ºC .2
Pour 100 grams of sugar, margarine and vanilla or vanilla sugar in a large bowl. Next, beat with a stick mixer or manual sticks until the sugar dissolves and all the ingredients are integrated. The texture that should remain is a creamy paste .
To make some vanilla cookies without butter, substitute it in the same proportion as vegetable oil.
Once the sugar is dissolved and the ingredients are mixed, add the egg to the mixture and continue beating so that it integrates with the rest of the ingredients of the vanilla cookies.
Place a strainer over the bowl and add the flour, yeast and pinch of salt to it . Shake the strainer over the bowl so that the powdered ingredients fall smooth and sifted into the mixture.
f you skip this step and pour the flour and yeast directly onto the ingredient mixture, the cookie dough is likely to leave you with a lumpy texture. To avoid this and achieve a perfect dough that works well, this step is essential.
If you want to make some vanilla and chocolate cookies, you can add a tablespoon of cocoa powder along with the flour, or add chocolate chips. They will be delicious!
Mix all the ingredients with the help of a spatula or wooden spoon. The result should be a creamy and somewhat dense dough.
Store the cookie dough in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to enhance the flavor of the ingredients and to make it easier to work the dough.
Meanwhile, make a cookie sheet with a sheet of parchment paper or baking paper. It is preferable to use this type of special baking paper since if you use aluminum foil, the cookie dough will stick to it and it will be more difficult to remove them from the tray.
To start forming the cookies, you just have to take a little dough with your hands and shape it into a ball with your hands. You can also shape it with two spoons, but it will be easier for you to do it with your hands. You only need to make balls similar to meatballs, you do not have to crush the dough to shape it into a cookie.
Once the biscuit ball is made, slice it in the icing sugar and remove the excess by tapping it. Place the cookie ball on the cookie sheet. Repeat this process until all the dough is finished.
It is important to place each vanilla cookie a certain distance from each other, since the dough will expand in the oven and can stick together. You can separate them with a distance of about 5 centimeters between each one.
Bake the cookies with heat up and down at 180 ºC for 15 minutes. When they’re done, take the tray out of the oven and let the cookies cool on a wire rack. Your soft vanilla cookies will be ready to accompany a coffee or chocolate or even spread with jam, dulce de leche, or cream. Dare to try different combinations!
